Interview with Ashley Beckwith

I just thought it was a good cause. I’m from Amherst so it seemed right.

What were you doing on New Year’s Eve when you found out you won? How did you find out that you had the winning ticket?

We were getting ready to have some supper when we got the call telling us that we had won!

What was the first thing you did when you found out you had the winning ticket?

We called all of our families to tell them the good news as soon as we found out.

What does winning the draw mean to you and your family?

It means the world to us! We were able to pay off all of our bills.

Has winning the money changed anything in your life?

It hasn’t really changed anything in our day-to-day life. We just don’t have to worry about being short on monthly expenses.

Do you have plans on how you’d like to spend the money?

We already paid off all of our bills and bought a new house.

How was your experience buying an online 50/50 ticket?

It was my very first time buying an online 50/50 ticket and I can say it was honestly the best thing we could have done at that point!

Do you normally participate in raffles or lotteries and will you continue to do so?

I don’t normally play in raffles or lotteries but I will continue with this raffle — haha!

What will 2021 look like for you and your family?

The only thing I wish for in 2021 is to have a happy, healthy family!
