Memes for sharing your raffle fundraiser (part two)

Aug 27, 2025

What’s the social media strategy for your raffle fundraiser?

If you had to pause for a minute (because you don’t really have one), you’re certainly not alone, but you are missing out on an opportunity to grow your charity raffle.

Creating a social media strategy doesn’t have to be overwhelming, either. While it helps to have some basic knowledge of marketing skills like data analysis, graphic design, and Meta advertising for gambling, you can start by simply being more thoughtful about how you share your raffle online.

And what’s more thoughtful than memes? Most people love them, and anyone can relate to one meme or another (and if you’re curious about the data, every time we share memes on our Rafflebox accounts, we get more engagement and reach more people than with a lot of our other types of posts.)

In other words: We made these memes about raffles to share on social media – and if you’re responsible for marketing your raffle program on social media and need some content, you’re welcome to use them, too (if there’s an opportunity to take “content creator” off your ever-growing plate as a raffle administrator, we’re happy to do it).

Memes for goldrush draws

Here’s a dream that’ll wake you up in a cold sweat: they pull your goldrush ticket number, but you forgot to play that week. 😱

Homer sleeping soundly after he’s played his goldrush number will not only strike as relatable – it'll remind your followers to click that raffle website link and get in the draw.

Any other Friends fans out there? While we love watching Joey Tribbiani’s trials and tribulations (because Matt LeBlanc’s delivery is as iconic as it is relatable), we don’t want to end up realizing things after the fact as often as he does.

This version of the 'Joey Surprised' meme will make your followers laugh, and they might even make that same face when they realize they almost missed the ticket deadline again.

Forgetting to play your goldrush number before ticket sales close is almost as frustrating as the common headache (and what’s more relatable than a headache?)

Remind your followers it’s time to get in the draw and make them laugh at the same time with this “Types of Headaches” meme.

Finally, give your goldrush supporters something they can share with friends.

Lots of social media users like boasting about their community pride by sharing causes they care about (just make sure there’s a link to your organization’s raffle website in the caption so it’s easy to buy raffle tickets).

Memes for launching a new raffle

Most raffles generate more than half of their overall purchases during the last day of ticket sales.

And yeah, it makes for a fun visual trend in your 30-day sales charts 📈, but attracting new raffle supporters and keeping sales consistent throughout the entire campaign relies on an exciting jackpot.

So, could your audience take a little teasing? If they react well to (i.e. laugh at) content that’s a little tongue-in-cheek, try sharing a meme that pokes your audience to help grow your jackpot earlier in the game.

If your audience is familiar with pop culture (and don't mind a shoot-from-the-hip sense of humor), share this classic Zoolander meme and use your caption to introduce the raffle, share your jackpot goals and what you’re doing with the funds, and to encourage your followers to get tickets right off the bat and grow that anthill of a jackpot into a volcano.

Disclaimer: This “talking to a brick wall” meme is for the raffle programs with a spicy brand personality (or maybe just to send to your fellow raffle admins who know the struggle).

Memes that remind people to get tickets

We’ll say it once and we’ll say it again: we, Rafflebox, have no control over who wins a raffle. Our Random Number Generator (RNG) tool takes care of winner selection, and it’s tested and certified by regional charitable lottery governing bodies. We promise.

However, there is one way your followers can increase their chances of winning: by getting more tickets.

Remind your followers the more ticket packages they purchase, the more likely they are to win.

Take this Lord of the Rings "second breakfast" meme, for example. This one reminds those punctual ticket buyers who buy tickets earlier on that they can get more.

Speaking of community support – it's always a good time to promote your raffle with a friendly reminder that ticket buyers are making an impact.

And no meme drop is complete without a Michael Scott reference. This classic scene from The Office reminds people that there are no skills or manipulation tactics for winning a raffle (while also reminding them they’re playing for charity.)

For the seasoned 50/50 draw ticket buyer, remind them of how back in the “olden days” it took a lot more effort to buy raffle tickets to support charity. (Then, it’s your chance to show them how much easier it is to buy tickets online now.)

And finally, another “last chance”, urgency-building meme for raffle programs with Early Bird draws.

Share memes to promote your charity raffle program and fundraise more

Okay, you’re now “marked safe” from our borderline corny sense of humor (but if you enjoyed these memes, don’t fret, there’s more in this previous blog post.)
